The organizing committee delegation including the Secretary General promoted the FINA World Masters Championships Gwangju 2019 at the 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Championships, which was held at the YMCA Aquatic Center in Orlando, Florida, USA from Jul. 27 to Aug. 1.
A total of 2,500 people (including over 350 masters club) from 29 North and South American countries including the USA, Canada, and Brazil participated in this Pan American Masters Championships.
While meeting with officials of the Masters Swimming Association, of which included FINA Masters Committee Member Mel Goldstein, Honorary Secretary Edward Everly, and UANA Secretary General Maureen Cross, the delegation introduced the status of preparations for the FINA World Masters Championships Gwangju 2019 and requested for participation in the form of both cooperation and support.
The organizing committee installed a promotion booth at the entrance of the YMCA Aquatic Center in Orlando and promoted the Gwangju World Championship by playing the event’s promotion video as well as distributing leaflets and gifts.
